Guidance, Navigation, and Control

Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) are the systems that work together to ensure a vehicle, like a spacecraft or drone, reaches its destination safely. Navigation determines the vehicle's current position and speed using sensors and data. Guidance plans the the route or trajectory to reach the target, considering obstacles and objectives. Control adjusts the vehicle's movements, such as thrusters or fins, to follow the planned path accurately. Together, GNC systems continuously assess and adapt to conditions, enabling precise and reliable travel through complex environments.
