Guccifer 2.0

Guccifer 2.0 is the online alias used by an individual or group believed to be linked to Russian intelligence, who in 2016 claimed responsibility for hacking into the Democratic National Committee's computer systems. They leaked stolen emails and documents to influence the U.S. presidential election. Although initially presenting as a lone hacker, investigations suggest Guccifer 2.0 was part of a coordinated effort to interfere with political processes, with ties to Russia's government efforts to sow discord and manipulate public opinion.
