Guandong War

The Guandong War, also known as the 1931 Mukden Incident, was a conflict between Japan and China that began when Japan staged a false-flag explosion on a railway in Manchuria (northeastern China). Japan used this incident as a pretext to invade and occupy Manchuria, establishing a puppet state called Manchukuo. This invasion marked an escalation of Japanese aggressive expansion in Asia and contributed to tensions leading up to World War II. The event highlighted Japan’s militarism and desire for resource-rich territories, significantly impacting Chinese sovereignty and regional stability.
