GSoC (Google Summer of Code)
Google Summer of Code (GSoC) is an annual program that offers university students the opportunity to work on open-source software projects over the summer. Participants, called "students," are paired with mentoring organizations, which are typically established open-source projects. During the program, students receive guidance from mentors to complete specific tasks or features, gaining real-world experience in software development. In return, they receive stipends to support their work. GSoC helps foster collaboration in the tech community while giving students valuable skills and the chance to contribute to meaningful projects.
