Grupo de París
The Grupo de París was a series of diplomatic meetings held in 1954 among Western European nations, the United States, and Canada. Its purpose was to coordinate assistance to rebuild and stabilize Western Europe after World War II, particularly through economic aid and security arrangements. The group helped lay the foundation for the European Economic Community (EEC) and NATO, fostering cooperation and promoting economic recovery in post-war Europe. It marked an important step in Western allies' efforts to strengthen regional stability and integrate their economies as a counterbalance to the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
