Grunig Models
The Grunig Models describe different approaches organizations use to communicate with the public. The four main models are: 1. **Press Agentry**: Focuses on promotion and getting media attention, often one-way communication. 2. **Public Information**: Shares factual information honestly, mainly one-way from organization to public. 3. **Two-Way Asymmetrical**: Uses feedback to understand public opinions but still primarily aims to influence the public. 4. **Two-Way Symmetrical**: Promotes balanced, mutual dialogue where organizations listen and adapt based on public feedback, fostering mutual understanding. These models guide how organizations manage public relations and communication strategies.
