Groupe d'Action Financière (GAFI)
Groupe d'Action Financière (GAFI), known as FATF (Financial Action Task Force) in English, is an international organization that sets standards and promotes policies to combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes. Its goal is to protect the global financial system by encouraging countries to establish effective laws, regulations, and practices. GAFI evaluates how well countries implement these standards and provides guidance to improve them. By doing so, it helps ensure that criminals cannot use the financial system for illegal activities, fostering transparency and stability in international finance.
