Grounding Exercises

Grounding exercises are techniques that help you stay connected to the present moment, especially during feelings of stress, anxiety, or overwhelm. They work by focusing your attention on your immediate surroundings using your senses—what you see, hear, feel, taste, or smell. For example, noticing the texture of an object, listening to ambient sounds, or feeling the sensation of your feet on the ground.
