Ground Zero Memorial
The Ground Zero Memorial, officially known as the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, is located at the site of the former World Trade Center in New York City, where the September 11, 2001 attacks occurred. It honors the nearly 3,000 victims of the attacks and recognizes the profound impact on families and communities. The memorial features two large reflecting pools, set in the footprints of the original twin towers, surrounded by a grove of oak trees. The names of all those who perished are inscribed on bronze panels around the pools, creating a space for remembrance and reflection.
