Gross National Happiness (GNH) is a holistic approach to development that emphasizes not just economic growth, but the overall well-being of a country's people. It considers various dimensions such as health, education, environmental sustainability, cultural preservation, good governance, and community vitality. Instead of focusing solely on increasing income or material wealth, GNH aims to create a balanced society where individuals thrive emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Originating from Bhutan, GNH advocates believe that true progress includes happiness and quality of life, recognizing that economic gains alone do not guarantee well-being.
