Griffith Theory explains how materials like metals break under stress. It states that tiny cracks or flaws inside the material prevent it from becoming too brittle. When the material is stretched, these cracks grow gradually, releasing energy. Once the load reaches a critical point, the cracks rapidly spread, causing the material to fracture. Essentially, the theory shows that the strength of a material is limited by its internal imperfections, and understanding these flaws helps predict when and how it will fail under stress.
