Gridlock
Gridlock occurs when traffic congestion becomes so severe that vehicles are unable to move, often because multiple intersections or traffic signals are blocking each other’s movement. It typically happens in cities when cars pile up and no one can proceed, creating a standstill. In a broader context, gridlock can also describe situations where progress is stalled due to conflicting interests or viewpoints, preventing any resolution. Essentially, it’s a state where movement or change is hindered because the system’s components are mutually blocking each other.
