Greenland Home Rule Government
The Greenland Home Rule Government is the regional authority that manages Greenland's local affairs, such as health, education, and infrastructure, while remaining part of Denmark. Established in 1979, it allows Greenlanders to govern many internal issues independently, reflecting their cultural and environmental uniqueness. However, Denmark retains control over defense, foreign policy, and monetary matters. This arrangement provides Greenland with a degree of self-governance, enabling it to make decisions suited to its specific needs, especially related to its environment and resources, while maintaining a constitutional connection with Denmark.
