Greenhouse Gas Effect

The greenhouse effect is a natural process where certain gases in Earth's atmosphere, like carbon dioxide and methane, trap heat from the sun. Solar energy reaches the Earth, warming its surface, and some of this heat is radiated back toward space. Greenhouse gases absorb and re-emit this heat, preventing it from escaping into space immediately. This trapped heat keeps our planet warm enough to support life. However, human activities like burning fossil fuels increase these gases' concentration, enhancing the greenhouse effect and leading to global warming and climate change.
