Greenhaus and Beutell Model

The Greenhaus and Beutell Model explains how work and family roles can create conflicts in a person's life. It identifies three types of conflict: time-based (not enough hours to fulfill both roles), strain-based (stress from one role affecting the other), and behavior-based (different expectations leading to clashes). For example, working long hours might leave little time for family, leading to time conflict. The model helps us understand how balancing work and family can be challenging and highlights areas where support or change can improve overall well-being.
