Great Plains region

The Great Plains is a vast area of flat or gently rolling land in the central United States, stretching from Texas in the south to Canada in the north. Known for its fertile soil and wide-open spaces, it’s a key region for agriculture, especially wheat, corn, and cattle farming. The climate varies from semi-arid in the west to more humid in the east, and the region is prone to strong winds and occasional tornadoes. Historically, it was home to many Native American tribes and played a significant role in westward expansion and agricultural development in the U.S.
