Great Observatories
The Great Observatories are a set of advanced telescopes launched by NASA to explore the universe across different wavelengths of light. Each observatory is designed to observe a specific part of the electromagnetic spectrum—such as infrared, visible, ultraviolet, and X-ray light—allowing scientists to study phenomena like stars, galaxies, black holes, and cosmic events more comprehensively. This multi-wavelength approach provides a more complete understanding of the universe’s structure and history. The key observatories include the Hubble Space Telescope, Chandra X-ray Observatory, Spitzer Space Telescope, and the James Webb Space Telescope.
