The Great Firewall refers to China's extensive system of internet censorship and surveillance, designed to regulate and control online content accessible within the country. It uses technical barriers to block access to certain foreign websites, platforms, and information deemed sensitive or undesirable by the government. This infrastructure filters data, monitors online activity, and restricts content to ensure alignment with national policies and values.
