GRBAS scale
The GRBAS scale is a tool used by voice specialists to evaluate the quality of a person's voice. It assesses five key aspects: Grade (overall voice quality), Roughness (irregular voice texture), Breathiness (airiness due to incomplete vocal fold closure), Asthenia (weakness or lack of strength in the voice), and Strain (perceived effort or tension). Each parameter is scored on a scale from 0 (normal) to 3 (severely abnormal). This helps clinicians identify voice issues, monitor changes over time, and plan appropriate treatments.
