Grape distillation
Grape distillation is a process that converts fermented grape juice into stronger spirits like brandy. It begins with crushing grapes to extract juice, which ferments to produce alcohol. The fermented liquid is heated in a special still; because alcohol boils at a lower temperature than water, it vaporizes first. These vapors are collected and cooled to condense back into liquid form, resulting in a higher concentration of alcohol. This method allows producers to extract rich, aromatic spirits from grapes, emphasizing flavors and aromas essential to high-quality brandy.
