Grand-Am Road Racing

Grand-Am Road Racing was a professional motorsport series featuring high-performance sports cars and prototypes competing on road courses and temporary circuits across North America. Established in 2000, it emphasized endurance racing with multiple classes racing simultaneously, testing drivers' skill and team coordination over several hours. The series aimed to showcase advanced automotive technology and craftsmanship, often featuring brands like Mazda, Ford, and BMW. Grand-Am provided close, competitive racing with strategic pit stops and driver changes. In 2014, it merged with the American Le Mans Series to form the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
