Grampanchayat

Gram Panchayat is the local government organization at the village level in India. It is responsible for the administration, development, and welfare of the village and its residents. Comprising elected members called Panchs and led by a Sarpanch, the Panchayat manages day-to-day tasks such as maintaining roads, water supplies, sanitation, and local infrastructure. It also serves as a bridge between villagers and higher government authorities, ensuring that community needs and concerns are addressed. Essentially, the Gram Panchayat empowers villagers to participate in local decision-making and promotes self-governance at the grassroots level.
