Graft Types

Graft types refer to different methods used in surgery to transplant tissue, usually skin, bone, or blood vessels, from one part of the body to another. The main types include: 1. **Split-thickness grafts**: Take the top layers of skin, used for large areas with less concern for identical appearance. 2. **Full-thickness grafts**: Include all skin layers, for smaller, more visible areas requiring better cosmetic results. 3. **Composite grafts**: Combine skin with other tissues like cartilage, often used in reconstructing noses or ears. These methods help restore function and appearance after injury or surgery.
