Graduation rate is a percentage that shows how many students in a group, such as a class or school, complete their program and earn their diploma within a specified time frame, typically four years for high school or six years for college. It reflects the ability of an institution to support students through to graduation. A higher rate indicates more students are successfully finishing their studies, while a lower rate may highlight challenges students face or areas where the school might improve support and resources.
