GPS Signals
GPS signals are radio waves transmitted by satellites orbiting Earth. These signals carry precise time and location information. When your device receives signals from at least four satellites, it calculates how far away each one is based on how long the signals take to arrive. Using this data, your device triangulates its exact position—latitude, longitude, and altitude—on Earth’s surface. This system works continuously to provide real-time positioning for navigation, mapping, and various location-based services, all relying on synchronized signals from a network of satellites orbiting overhead.
