A GPS Disciplined Oscillator (GPSDO) is a high-precision device that combines a stable local oscillator—like a crystal oscillator—with signals from GPS satellites. The GPS signals provide highly accurate timing information, allowing the device to continuously adjust and correct the local oscillator’s frequency. This results in an extremely precise and stable clock, useful for applications such as scientific measurements, telecommunications, and navigation systems.
