Governor of Jharkhand

The Governor of Jharkhand is the ceremonial head of the state, appointed by the President of India for a five-year term. While they perform functions like giving assent to laws passed by the state legislature and overseeing constitutional processes, real executive power lies with the Chief Minister and the state government. The Governor's role is to ensure the constitution is upheld, represent the state's unity, and act as a bridge between the central government and the state. They also have the authority to dissolve the legislative assembly or recommend President's Rule if necessary.
