Governor of Greece

Greece does not have a governor in the way U.S. states do; instead, it is governed as a parliamentary republic with a Prime Minister as the head of government and a President as the head of state. The President's role is mostly ceremonial, while the Prime Minister leads the government and makes policy decisions. Greece is divided into regions and municipalities, each with local mayors and councils responsible for local administration. The central government oversees national policy, but local officials govern regional and municipal matters.
