Governmental structures
Governmental structures organize how a country is managed and run. They typically include branches like the executive (president or prime minister), responsible for implementing laws; the legislature (parliament or congress), which makes laws; and the judiciary (courts), which interprets laws. Some countries have federal systems with multiple levels—federal, state, or provincial—each with its own powers, while others are unitary, centralizing authority. These structures establish clear roles, checks and balances, and decision-making processes to ensure effective governance and accountability for citizens.
