Governement of India
The Government of India is a democratic system that makes and enforces laws for the country. It has three main branches: the Executive (led by the President and the Prime Minister), which implements laws; the Legislature (Parliament), which makes laws; and the Judiciary, which interprets laws through courts. India is divided into states and union territories, each with their own governments. The central government manages national issues, while state governments handle regional concerns. This structure ensures a balance of power, accountability, and representation for India’s diverse population.
