Gordon Highlanders

The Gordon Highlanders was a British Army infantry regiment, established in 1881 and named after the Clan Gordon from northeast Scotland. Renowned for their distinctive Highland traditions, uniforms, and fighting spirit, they served with distinction in numerous conflicts, including the World Wars. The regiment recruited mainly from the Scottish Highlands and was known for bravery, discipline, and camaraderie. In 1994, the regiment was amalgamated into the Royal Regiment of Scotland, ending its separate identity. The Gordon Highlanders hold a proud military heritage, celebrating their contributions to British military history and Highland cultural traditions.
