Google Team Effectiveness Project

The Google Team Effectiveness Project was an internal research effort by Google to understand what makes teams work well together. By studying many teams within the company, they identified key factors such as psychological safety (feeling safe to share ideas), dependability, structure and clarity, meaning of work, and having a strong, reliable team. The project’s goal was to discover actionable insights to improve team performance and collaboration across the organization. In essence, it helped Google understand the dynamics that foster effective, innovative, and high-performing teams.
