Goodyear Airdock
The Goodyear Airdock is a large, cylindrical building in Ohio designed for constructing airships (giant dirigibles). It measures about 1,125 feet long and 292 feet wide, with a high ceiling to accommodate colossal airship hulls. Built in the 1920s, it features a unique steel frame structure that allows it to be easily resized or reconfigured. Historically, it served as a manufacturing and repair facility for Goodyear's airships, playing a significant role in aviation history. Today, it remains an iconic example of early aerospace engineering and industrial architecture.
