Gondwana (historical region)

Gondwana was a large landmass that existed hundreds of millions of years ago, comprising present-day Africa, South America, Antarctica, Australia, and India. It was part of the supercontinent Pangaea and began breaking apart around 180 million years ago during the Jurassic period. This drifting of Gondwana influenced Earth's climate, sea levels, and the distribution of plants and animals. Its remnants can still be seen today in the geological and fossil record, providing insights into Earth's ancient history and the evolution of continental formations.
