Goldman perimetry
Goldmann perimetry is a visual field test used by eye care professionals to map a person’s peripheral and central vision. During the test, a patient looks into a concave bowl while a technician projects a moving light target onto different areas of their field of view. The patient indicates when they see the light, allowing the technician to chart areas where vision is normal or compromised. This helps detect and monitor eye conditions like glaucoma, optic nerve damage, or neurological issues affecting vision. It provides detailed information about the full scope of a person's visual awareness.
