Gold Smelting
Gold smelting is the process of extracting pure gold from its ore or refining impure gold. It involves heating the material to very high temperatures in a furnace to melt the gold, allowing impurities to separate and be removed. Sometimes, fluxes—chemical additives—are added to help bind impurities into slag, which can be skimmed off. The resulting molten gold is then poured into molds to cool and solidify as bars or ingots. This process ensures the gold attains high purity, suitable for investment, jewelry, or industrial use.
