God’s Univocality

God’s univocality refers to the idea that when we use certain words—like "good," "powerful," or "wise"—we apply them to both God and creation with the same meaning. This suggests that divine attributes are not entirely different or separate from human understanding, but share a common sense of the term. However, God’s nature is ultimately beyond full human comprehension, so univocality often highlights our attempt to describe divine qualities consistently, while recognizing that God's way of being surpasses our limitations.
