Gnostic teachings

Gnostic teachings center on the idea that true knowledge (gnosis) reveals an spiritual truth beyond surface appearances. They suggest the material world is flawed or a trap created by a lesser, ignorant deity, often called the Demiurge. Humanity's divine spark is trapped within this physical realm, and salvation comes through inner awakening and spiritual enlightenment—knowing one's true, divine nature and transcending the material. Gnosticism emphasizes personal spiritual insight over external rituals, aiming to reconnect individuals with their divine origins and attain knowledge that leads to liberation from worldly illusion.
