Glomerular Disease

Glomerular disease involves problems with the glomeruli, tiny structures in the kidneys that filter blood. When these filters are damaged or inflamed, they can't effectively remove waste and excess fluids from the body. This can lead to symptoms like swelling, especially in the legs and face, high blood pressure, and abnormal amounts of protein or blood in the urine. Causes vary, including immune system disorders, infections, or other health conditions. Treatment aims to reduce inflammation, address the underlying cause, and manage symptoms to protect kidney function and prevent further damage.
