Global Shutter
A global shutter is a camera technology that captures an entire image at once, rather than scanning across the scene sequentially. This means all parts of an image are recorded simultaneously, preventing distortion or "smearing" caused by moving objects or rapid motion. Global shutters are especially useful in high-speed imaging and industrial applications where precise, distortion-free images are critical. Unlike rolling shutters that capture parts of an image at slightly different times, global shutters ensure consistency across the entire frame, resulting in clearer, more accurate images of fast-moving subjects.
