The Global Mountain Biodiversity Assessment (GMBA) is an international effort to study and protect the rich variety of plant, animal, and fungi species that live in mountain regions worldwide. GMBA aims to understand these ecosystems' importance, how they’re changing with climate and human activities, and to promote sustainable conservation.
