Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI)
The Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) is an initiative by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) that measures the commitment of countries to cybersecurity. It evaluates nations based on five key pillars: legal measures, technical measures, organizational measures, capacity building, and cooperation. Through this index, countries are ranked to show how well they are protecting themselves from cyber threats. A higher score indicates stronger cybersecurity practices and readiness, helping to inform policies and promote international collaboration in safeguarding digital spaces.
