Global Climate Agreement (Paris Agreement)

The Paris Agreement is an international treaty aimed at combating climate change. Adopted in 2015, it brings together nearly all the world's countries to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, with a goal of keeping it below 1.5 degrees. Countries set their own greenhouse gas reduction targets called Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and are encouraged to increase their ambitions over time. The agreement emphasizes cooperation, transparency, and financial support for developing nations to help them adapt and transition to sustainable practices. It represents a collective effort to address the climate crisis for future generations.
