Glenview Naval Air Station

Glenview Naval Air Station, located in Illinois, was a military airfield used by the U.S. Navy from 1917 until its closure in 1995. It served as a training and operational base, supporting flight training, aircraft maintenance, and logistics. The air station hosted various aircraft and Navy personnel over the decades. After its closure, much of the site was repurposed for commercial, residential, and recreational uses, transforming from a military facility into a community asset while preserving some historic structures.
