Glenoid Labrum Repair
Glenoid labrum repair is a minimally invasive surgical procedure to fix tears in the labrum, a ring of cartilage around the shoulder socket (glenoid). The labrum stabilizes the shoulder joint and helps keep the arm bone in place. When torn, it can cause pain, instability, and weakness. During the surgery, the surgeon reattaches or secures the torn labrum using small anchors and sutures, restoring joint stability and function. The procedure is often performed arthroscopically, meaning cameras and tiny instruments are inserted through small incisions, typically leading to quicker recovery and less pain compared to open surgery.
