Glagolitic Bible
The Glagolitic Bible is an early Slavic translation of the Bible created in the 9th century by Saints Cyril and Methodius. It used the Glagolitic alphabet, one of the first writing systems designed for Slavic languages, to make scripture accessible to Slavic-speaking peoples. This translation played a crucial role in the cultural and religious development of Eastern Europe, fostering literacy and religious identity. Although many original manuscripts no longer exist, it remains a significant historical and linguistic milestone in the Christianization of the Slavic world.
