Giustizia e Libertà (movement)
Giustizia e Libertà was an Italian political movement founded in 1929 by intellectuals and anti-fascists committed to opposing Benito Mussolini’s fascist regime. It aimed to promote democracy, individual freedoms, and social justice through active resistance and underground activities. The movement sought to mobilize Italians against authoritarian rule, advocating for political and civil rights. Although it was banned and operated clandestinely, Giustizia e Libertà played a significant role in Italy’s resistance during World War II, contributing to the broader effort to restore democratic governance and oppose fascism in Italy.
