Gish Protocol
The Gish Gallop is a debate technique where a person presents a rapid series of numerous arguments or points, making it hard for opponents to address each one thoroughly. This approach can overwhelm the audience or counterparty, giving the impression of strength or knowledge, even if many points are weak or false. It's often used to dominate a discussion quickly, but it can sacrifice clarity and accuracy for volume. The term originated from debates involving Duane Gish, a prominent creationist, who used this method effectively to challenge opponents.
