Gish Gallop
The Gish Gallop is a debate tactic where one person overwhelms their opponent by rapidly presenting a large number of arguments, claims, or facts—many of which may be false, incomplete, or misleading. The goal is to make it difficult for the other side to respond to every point in detail, giving the impression of having won the debate. It’s named after Duane Gish, a prominent creationist, and is often used to create the illusion of credibility or scientific backing, even if many points are flawed or unsubstantiated.
