
Giovanni de Medicis
Giovanni de’ Medici (1475–1521) was an important Italian politician and cardinal from the influential Medici family in Florence. Giovanni was elected Pope Leo X in 1513, becoming known for his patronage of the arts and significant contributions to the Renaissance culture.
